County cases up to 767 as of Sept. 29

106 new cases in a week

The Ogle County Health Department reported nine new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, Sept. 29 totaling 767.

Fifteen new cases were reported Saturday, 12 on Sunday and 26 on Monday. One hundred and six new cases have come in the past week. Ages and locations of the individuals that test positive are not being released to protect their privacy.

Recoveries of documented cases stand at 551 as of Sept. 18, but the OCHD recently said due to switching systems, recoveries won’t be updated until the first week of October.

The county reported its sixth death on Sept. 15, a female in her 70s. The OCHD reported its fifth death in the county on July 10 and its fourth on June 1.

The Illinois Department of Public Health site said Tuesday that there are 365 cases in the 61068 zip code that includes Rochelle, Creston and White Rock.

Stillman Valley’s zip code, 61084, has 32 cases in it according to the IDPH site. Byron’s zip code, 61010, has 102 cases. Davis Junction (61020) has 38 cases.

The zip codes that house Oregon (61061) and Mt. Morris (61054) have 60 and 40 cases, respectively.

Polo’s zip code, 61064, has 33 cases in it. Leaf River (61047) has 12 cases. Forreston (61030), which was recently added to the IDPH’s reporting, has 11 cases.
