Ogle County property tax bills have been mailed

Ogle County property tax bills on were mailed May 15.

The first installment due date has been delayed until July 1, with the second installment due on Sept. 11.

“This single document contains tax information and payment coupons for both installments,” said Ogle County Collector and Treasurer Linda Beck. “Therefore, property owners need to save this bill as no additional notice will be mailed prior to the second installment.”

Beck said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, county buildings are currently closed to the public and in-person payments cannot be accepted.

“Therefore, we strongly encourage the public to pay at any local bank (cash or check payable to Ogle County Collector) or by mailing your check or money order to the Ogle County Collector, P.O. Box 40, Oregon, IL 61061,” she said.

Beck’s office is also offering the option of online credit card payments.

To get to this site go directly to or through and then select the Treasurer’s department.

Choose the Online Tax Payments link and click the Pay Now button. Fill in the information as prompted.

“Be sure to receive a payment conformation for your records,” Beck said. “Please note that this service carries a fee; review the convenience fees prior to making payment.

“Ogle County will post any changes to the status of its buildings via the news and social media. We appreciate the public’s understanding during these trying times,” Beck said.
