Stud-a-thon is an opportunity for businesses, families, clubs, etc. to "make their mark” in the community by sponsoring a stud for the next home build.

No one was injured Tuesday afternoon when a fire destroyed a downtown business, prompting the closure of several streets as crews battled to contain flames fueled by strong winds. The building, located on the corner of Wesley Avenue and Main Street in the village’s downtown, housed apartments and Sharky’s Sports Bar.

The afternoon’s events were for the benefit of a maintenance fund to the Eternal Indian, known popularly as the Black Hawk Statue by Lorado Taft.
