Oregon Police Activity
Oregon Police Chief Darin DeHaan reports the following police activity for Jan. 18 through Jan. 24.
Jan. 19
At 2:15 a.m., police issued Pamela D. Guzman, 26, Oregon, citations for operating a motor vehicle when registration suspended for non-insurance and driving while license suspended. These violations occurred in the 100 block of W. Washington Street.
At 10 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 800 block of S. Fourth St., where a 1999 Mercury driven by Jackie E. Lewis, 21, Oregon, struck a 2004 Dodge driven by Daniela J. Vail, 26, Oregon. Lewis was issued a city citation for improper backing.
At 11:40 p.m., police arrested Timothy R. Reeverts, 26, Oregon, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Reeverts was transported to the Ogle County jail.
Jan. 20
At 11:10 p.m., police issued James D. Travis, 62, Mt. Morris, a city citation for the offence of improper passing. This violation occurred in the 500 block of W. Washington Street.
Jan. 21
At 2:18 p.m., police issued Mary L. Bartoli, 57, Ashton, a citation for operating a motor vehicle when registration suspended for non-insurance. This violation occurred in the 200 block of W. Washington Street.
At 11:53 p.m., police arrested Adam M. Marciniak, 19, Oregon, for driving while license suspended. A passenger in Marciniak’s vehicle, a male juvenile, age 17, Oregon, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams. Marciniak was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was held in lieu of bond. The juvenile was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was released into a guardian’s custody. These violations occurred in the 400 block of W. Washington Street.
Jan. 24
At 11 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 200 block of N. Sixth Street involving a 1997 Buick Park Avenue driven by Gertrude J. Head, 88, Oregon, and a parked 2002 Taurus belonging to Sue E. Engelkes, Oregon. No citations were issued.
Fifteen warnings were issued for the week of Jan. 18 through Jan. 24.
