Mary Lou Hose

Mary Lou Hose, 70, Dixon, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

She farmed with her husband, was a transcriptionist for KSB Hospital, Dixon, Dixon Correctional Center, CGH Medical Center, Sterling, and she owned and operated Brinton Avenue Antique Mall, Dixon. 

Mary was born July 6, 1939, in Sterling, the daughter of John and Ann (Staelens) Thomson. 

She married Donald R. Hose on Nov. 6, 1977, in Las Vegas, N.V. 

Mary loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

She enjoyed her Thursday ladies luncheons, square dancing with the Swingin Stars, horseback riding, antiquing, playing Texas Holdem, bingo, garage sales, camping, cruises, golfing, and recently riding around her property on a golf cart.

Survivors include her husband Donald R. Hose, Dixon; four sons, Daniel Hose, Dixon, Joseph (Becky) Willwerth, Arizona, Steven (Sandy) Willwerth, California, Mark (Christy) Hose, Dixon; five daughters, Sandra (Earl) Schulte, Dixon, Barbara (Michael) McDermott, Poplar Grove, Mildred Hose, Dixon, Donna (Bill) Seidel, Rock Falls, Amy (Steven) Wilson, Dixon; one sister, Betty Ann Hedger, Las Vegas, N.V.; 24 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Ann Weidel; and one brother, Harold Thomson.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Judi Huseth, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sterling, officiating. 

Interment of cremains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded. 

Visitation will be from noon until time of service, Saturday, at the church.

A memorial has been established to KSB Hospice.
