THE COMMUNITY
Location:
Oregon, Illinois, the home office for Ogle County Newspapers, is located 35 miles southwest of Rockford and 90 miles west of Chicago.
Market:
Ogle County is considered part of the Rockford Metropolitan Service Area.
Things To Do:
Area points of interest include three state parks, a state forest, 10 city parks, a historic downtown shopping district. Oregon is home to several Lorado Taft sculptures including the Black Hawk Statue, standing 125’ above the scenic Rock River. Dedicated in 1911, this statue is said to be the second largest concrete monolithic statue in the world.
