Richard Dean Frison, 84, of Colona, died on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.
Richard was born on Jan. 22, 1935 in Strawberry Point, Iowa, the son of Balzer and Maxine Brewer Frison.
He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
He married Shirley on Sept. 17, 1955 in Polo. She died on Oct. 26, 2009.
Richard retired from International Harvester and also worked as a Master Carpenter in the area.
Survivors include his children, Lori (Jeff) Emry, of Roanoke, Virginia, Richard (Tracy) Frison, of Mesa, Arizona, and Collette (Carl) Douglas, of Geneseo; grandchildren, Darcy (Jason) Frison Franks, Guy (Megan) Frison, Jared Emry, Caitlin (Vil) Emry Phonasa, Jennifer (Preston) Douglas, Katherine (Zack) King, and Elizabeth Douglas; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings Lila Eddy Waller, of Phoenix, Arizona, Douglas Frisona of Auburn, Wshington, Roger Frison, of Rockford, and Kent Frison, of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mike Eddy for all of his time and care given to Uncle Dick.
A memorial visitation was held on July 20 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.
