Loving mother and grandmother, Mary Alice Davison, 74, of Oregon, died on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Serenity Hospice and Home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Jack and Nina (Nelson) Batten.
She married Orvis Allen “Junior” Davison Jr. on Oct. 12, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1997.
Mary worked for more than 30 years at the Lorado Taft Field Campus as a cook.
She loved to spend time in her flower gardens, feed and watch the humming birds come and go, and play with her dogs.
Mary was a great cook, especially her home baked cinnamon rolls, which she would generously share.
Mary is survived by her three children, Tracy Andrew Davison, of Juda, Wisconsin, Amy Jo (Paul) Gillingham, of Oregon, and Adam Allen Davison, of Oregon; two granddaughters, Jessica Davison and Lily Gillingham.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Junior; her half-brothers, Sonny, Buddy, and Jack; and a lifelong friend, Carolyn Saratori.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 3 p.m. at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. Seventh St., Oregon, with the Pastor Dave Rogula officiating.
A visitation will be prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Washington Grove Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Mary’s name.
