June 18

At 1 a.m., police took three juveniles, a 16-year-old male of Mt. Morris, a 16-year-old female of Oregon, and a 15-year-old female of Oregon, into limited custody for being out after curfew. All three juveniles were released into their parent’s custody with no further action needed.

At 9:50 a.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 100 block of S. 4th Street involving a 2010 Ford driven by Alyssa M. McCormick, 19, of Steward, and a 2006 Jeep driven by Michelle L. Dotter,42, of Mt. Morris. McCormick was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

June 19

Winter B. Luster, 25, of Dixon, was arrested at 3:43 p.m. for driving while license suspended. Luster was also issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Luster was transported to the Ogle County Jail. These violations occurred in the 500 block of N. Illinois 2.

June 20

At 11 a.m., police investigated a hit and run that had just occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street where an unknown vehicle struck a 2013 Toyota driven by Marsha K. Butterfield, 70, of Dixon, causing her vehicle to strike a 2004 Chevrolet driven by Dana R. Meyers, 43, of Chana. The vehicle then left the scene. No citations were issued. Anyone having any information regarding this incident, can contact the Oregon Police Department at 815-732-2162.

Patrick D. Davis, 21, of Rockford, was issued a citation at 6:24 p.m. for unlawful window tint. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.

Tyler J. Black, 20, of Mt. Morris, was issued a citation at 7:35 p.m. for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of 7th and Clay Streets.

June 23

Joshua J. Martin, 39, of Oregon, was issued a citation at 12:10 a.m. for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 900 block of W. Washington Street.

Nikolas C. Chavez, 21, of Rockford, was issued a citation at 8:15 p.m. for speeding - 51 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 500 block of N. 4th Street.

Reuben D. James, 25, of Moline, was issued a citation at 9:25 p.m. for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 500 block of N. 4th Street.

June 24

At 11:04 p.m., police were called to a check welfare in the 300 block of W. Washington Street, resulting in the arrest of Donald J. Bigham, 62, no known address, for obstructing justice. Bigham was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

June 25

Adrian K. Clark, 32, of Oregon, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. for unlawful possession of a debit card. Clark was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

June 26

At 3:05 a.m., police responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of N. 5th Street, resulting in the arrest of Dustin N. Garcia, 29, of Oregon, for disorderly conduct. Garcia was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

Laura R. Webster, 31, of Oregon, was issued a city citation at 10:30 a.m. for violating the trash/rubbish/junk ordinance in the 400 block of Mix Lane.

At 12:48 p.m., police investigated a car vs. train traffic crash in the 1200 block of S. 2nd Street where a 2000 Dodge driven by Jimmy L. Sawyer, 58, Oregon, struck a moving train. No citations were issued.

Adrian K. Clark,32, of Oregon, was charged at approximately 1 p.m. for failure to register as a sex offender. Clark was already housed at the Ogle County Jail on charges from June 25.

At 6 p.m., police investigated a car vs. utility pole traffic crash in the 400 block of Madison Street involving a 2000 Dodge driven by Amy Benton, 35, of Oregon, who struck a utility pole. Benton was issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

June 27

Michael P. Fenton, 53, of Loves Park, was issued a city citation at 12:05 p.m. for violating the inoperable motor vehicle ordinance in the 1300 block of Pines Road.

June 29

At 5:25 p.m., police responded to a disturbance occurring in the parking lot in the 100 block of S. 5th Street, resulting in taking one 16-year-old male juvenile, Polo, into limited custody for the offense of domestic battery. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a juvenile delinquency petition requested to the Ogle County State’s Attorney’s Office.

At 9:12 p.m., police investigated a car vs deer traffic crash in the 700 block of North 4th Street involving a 2018 Chevrolet driven by Maylene M. Haug, 30, of Oregon. No citations were issued.

June 30

Amanda J. Wolfe, 40, of Mt. Morris, was issued a citation at 4:40 a.m. for disobeying a traffic control light. This violation occurred at the 4th and Washington Street intersection.

Ten parking citations and 11 verbal/written warnings were issued June 17-30.
