Two brand new city commissioners were sworn into office at the May 14 Oregon City Council meeting, along with the mayor and two returning commissioners.
Ogle County Judge Robert Hanson administered the oath of office to newcomers Tim Krug and Melanie Cozzi, as well as veteran commissioners Terry Schuster and Kurt Wilson and mayor Ken Williams.
All five were elected on April 2.
Williams also made department appointments.
Schuster will remain as Budget and Finance Commissioner, and Wilson will continue to serve as Public Health & Safety Commissioner.
Krug was named Streets & Alleys Commissioner, replacing Tom Izer, who was defeated in his bid for re-election.
Cozzi will serve as Public Properties Commissioner, replacing Jim Barnes, who did not seek re-election.
