Oregon resident, Elizabeth “Liz” Vos has been appointed the new Executive Director of the Oregon Chamber of Commerce. She assumed the post on March 19.
“Her previous experience as a free-lance consultant with expertise in marketing, branding, event planning, and customer relations is an excellent fit with the Chamber’s goals to expand programs and services to benefit Chamber members and the community as a whole,” said Chamber board president Donna Mann.
Vos is a native of the Forreston area and a graduate of Forreston High School and Sauk Valley Community College where she earned an associates degree in Marketing.
She, her husband John, and family reside in Oregon.
“We are excited to welcome Liz as the leader of the Oregon Chamber and she has hit the ground running,” said Chamber board member Merlin Hagemann. “During her first day on the job she was already posting Chamber and community activities to our social media sites and creating lots of excitement for things to come. We really feel she has the skills needed to help us advance the Chamber.”
