It was a day to honor the memories of not only loved ones, but service members, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon on June 30.

The hospice home hosted its annual butterfly release, as well as the dedication of the home’s Gazebo memorial and veterans walk.

The release of a couple hundred monarch butterflies honored the memories of departed loved ones.

The gazebo offers Serenity residents and their families a peaceful place to relax in a scenic setting as well as an opportunity to honor loved ones, courtesy of engraved bricks around the gazebo that people could have personalized for a donation.

The veterans walk leading to the gazebo features pavers personalized for a donation with names of service members engraved on them.
