If June is officially the first month of summer, then June 1 is the earliest chance to start the summer season for the serious musical entertainment that is First Fridays.

Once again the Mt. Morris Moose Family Center will host the popular open stage music show.

Musicians will draw for time slots at 6:30 p.m. and performances will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until all musicians, even late arrivals, have had their turn on stage.

A jam session will follow until time for the traditional closing with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

The musical styles vary widely including country, bluegrass, folk, blues, light rock, and eclectic blending of multiple genres.

The musicians will be supported by a professional sound system engineered by Kent Anders.

Music fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty, as the Mt. Morris Moose Club offers a food and beverage service.
