Oregon High School’s Senior of Distinction for January is Ellie Egyed.
“Ellie is involved at OHS, participating in cheerleading and serving as a leader to her peers,” said Shannon Cremeens, OHS Dean of Students. “She is kind and compassionate to others in our building, and she sets a great example to those around her. Ellie also spends several periods working with staff at OES to support them in their classrooms, helping with projects and other assigned classroom activities.
“Ellie is a wonderful role model to the students in the classrooms she works. She plans to pursue elementary education at college after graduation, and I am positive her passion for working with children will carry forward as she pursues a career in education. Our profession is fortunate to receive such a dedicated young lady with the character and determination to make a positive difference in the future of her students,” Creemens said.
Employees at Oregon High School are asked to nominate any senior who displays qualities and talents school officials wish every student possessed and/or who have great grades and are involved in service to both school and community.
