While the popular First Fridays Open Stage Music Show has made frequent guest appearances in recent years at the Mt. Morris Moose Club, Jan. 5 marks the beginning of its new home at the Moose Club on – what else – the First Friday of each month.

Musicians will draw for time slots at 6:30 p.m. and performances will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until all musicians, even late arrivals, have had their turn on stage.

A jam session will follow until it is time for the traditional closing with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

The musical styles vary widely including country, bluegrass, folk, blues, light rock, and eclectic blending of multiple genres.

The musicians will be supported by a professional sound system engineered by Kent Enders.

Music fans are encouraged to arrive hungry and thirsty as the Mt. Morris Moose Club is highly regarded for its food and beverage service.

Be sure to mark Jan. 5 on the calendar to be part of a new chapter in the 18-year history of First Fridays.
