PAG plans fall performance

The Performing Arts Guild of Mt. Morris will present the world premiere musical performance of “The Way Home” at the Pinecrest Grove Theatre at the Pinecrest Grove Community Center.

The performance dates are Nov.10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19. Times are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

This production is based on the story of the Prodigal Son.

The playwright and one of the last century’s leading hymn writers, the late Dr. Rev. Herb Brokering, is recognized for his telling and retelling of biblical scriptures and contemporary theological work.

Composer Daniel Kallman is a contemporary musician and composer who is equally recognized in the music world.

Leads include Mark Tremble as Papa, Margo Ackland as Mama, Todd McMillion as Ted, and John Chase as Fred.

The supporting cast includes Connie Augsburger, Pam Ballard, Russ Senti, Cat Hill, Dave Sowinski, Priscilla Osborne, Judy Cook, and Brianna Fuentes.

Beth Nelson Chase is the director.

Ticket prices are $12 each for adults, and $10 each for students, senior citizens, and groups of 10 or more.
