Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn reports the following activity.

Aug. 6

Cedric X. Jackson, 39, Sterling, was arrested when he turned himself in to the Ogle County Jail on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for a contempt charge. He posted the $125 bond, was released, and will is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.

Royce Stricker, 22, Belvidere, was arrested when he turned himself in to the Ogle County Jail on an outstanding warrant failure to appear on a contempt charge and on a Boone County warrant for driving while license suspended.

He posted 10% of a $3,000 bond for Boone County and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29. He also posted the $356 bond for Ogle County, was released, and will have no further court appearances.

Racheal A. Deiter, 18, Machesney Park, was arrested at the Ogle County Courthouse on an outstanding warrant for motion to increase bond -concealing or aiding a fugitive. Her bond was set at $75,000 bond pending an Aug. 7 court appearance.

Sandra Noble, 34, Freeport, was arrested on two Ogle County warrants—one for failure to appear with a bond of $2,206 full cash and the other for petition to revoke with a bond of $1,500. Noble did not post bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 7.

Brian Meyers, 31, Dixon, was arrested at 6:03 p.m. for driving while license revoked. He was also issued citations for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was arrested after a traffic stop at the intersection of River Road and Park Road, east of Oregon. Meyers was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., deputies responded to the Rolling Meadows trailer park, near Davis Junction, after a report of a disturbance. After a short investigation, Jacob Gale, 21, Rock Falls, was arrested for aggravated assault. Gale was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Aug. 7

Joshua Oldenburg, 31, Leaf River, was arrested for having an expired registration. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where his bond was set at $2,000 pending a court appearance.

At approximately 9 a.m., deputies assisted by the Oregon Police Department when they responded to a disturbance call in the 1000 block of N. Ill. 2, north of Oregon. After an investigation, Devin Bush, 21, Oregon, was arrested for battery and two counts of disorderly conduct after being involved in an altercation with Lynn Kaufman, 57, Mt. Morris, and Kim Kaufman, 40, Oregon. Bush was taken into custody and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

James Ospal, 48, Van Orin, was arrested at 5:28 a.m. for driving while license revoked. He was arrested following a traffic stop at Ill. 72 and Limestone Road. Opsal was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Aug. 8

W. Robert Timm, no age or town provided, was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs/alcohol and cited for improper lane usage. He was arrested following a traffic stop at Ill. 72 and Kishwaukee Road.

Brandon S. Cates, 25, Cedarville, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Cates’ bond was set at $1,353 pending an Aug. 8 court appearance.

Kyle Gipper, 22, Byron, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Gipper posted $456 full cash for bond and has no further court appearances required.

Anthony Young, 38, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Young posted $500 full cash for bond and has no further court appearances required.

Joseph R. VanPatter, 53, Dixon, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. VanPatter’s bond was set at $924 pending an Aug. 11 court appearance.

Aug. 9

Rafael Huerta, 32, Davis Junction, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 8000 block of N. Ill. 251. Huerta was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

At 5:44 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at Mud Creek Road and Leaf River Road with reported minor injuries. Upon arrival the investigation revealed that Susan Bordy, 28, Seward, failed to yield from the stop intersection and pulled into the path of Susan Cahill, 53, Mt. Morris.

Bordy was transported to Rockford Memorial for non-life threatening injuries. She was also cited for failing to yield from a stop intersection and was given a Sept. 17 court date.

The sheriff’s department was assisted at the crash by Mt. Morris Police and the Mt. Morris fire department.

Rudy Sanchez, 34, Colorado, was arrested on a warrant for theft. His bond was set at $50,000 pending an Aug. 11 court appearance.

Aug. 10

Trevor O’Connor, 24, Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended after a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Junction Road.

He was also cited for failure to signal turn and expired registration. O’Connor was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

Jorge Carreno, 27, Davis Junction, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. for violation of bond conditions after deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Azalea Ave. in Davis Junction.

Carreno was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
