Lois A. I. Bishop

Lois Ann Iva Bishop, 78, Oregon, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.

She was born Nov. 26, 1935 in Mendota, the daughter of Hilbert and Pearl (Mathesius) Larsen.  

She graduated from Shabbona High School, Shabbona. 

Lois married Edwin Bishop on Jan. 9, 1988 in Rochelle, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2012.  

Lois was a travel agent working in Rochelle for Royal Travel and retiring in 1989.  

She was a member of New Life Assembly of God. Lois was also a member of the Women of The Moose, Chapter 438, Rochelle, Red Hat Club, Oregon, and the Rock River Senior Center, Oregon. 

Lois is survived by her children, Loris (Mike Cudden) Anderson, DeKalb, Leonard (Rose) Dewey, Rochelle,  Lindon (Yvonne) Dewey, Stillman Valley, Christine (Daryl) Myrick, Grays Lake, and Pamela Juarez, Mt. Prospect; step-children, Cathy (Milton) Fager, Forreston, Karen (Robert) Palmer, Chana, Angie White, Oregon, Dan (Rhonda) Bishop, Leaf River, Edwin (Janice) Bishop Jr., Oregon, and Chris (Angel) Bishop, Chana; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Hope Willrett, Malta, and Joyce Wrieden, Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Elaine Winters, DeKalb; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in by her husband, Edwin; brother, William Michael Larsen; daughter, Jennifer Richardson, and step-daughter, Cindy Jellies.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13 at 3 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God, 401 S. Eighth St., Oregon, with Pastor David Demmer officiating.  

Visitation will be Sunday, July 13 from 1 p.m. until service time at New Life Assembly of God, Oregon. 

Arrangements were completed by Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris.

Memorials made be made to the New Life Assembly of God.
