Little League Action, Polo 2 v Oregon 2

Polo 2 the Indians hosted a game vs. Oregon 2 on July 3.

The first inning had Spencer Scott start out as pitcher. He had a hard time getting the strikes in for the Oregon batters to swing at. 

He managed one strikeout before they inserted Cooper Blake into the pitchers mound. Blake got two strikeouts but Oregon managed to walk in four runs. 

Polo determined to get some runs back. The team got walks from Daniel Dominguez, Carson Jones, Cayden Webster, Emily Allen and Spencer Scott. Login Hicks got a single at end of inning to bring in three of the five runs. Allen and Scott got the other two RBIs. 

During the second inning, Polo got out of the inning without any additional runs scoring. The outs were by pitcher Blake getting three strikeouts. 

Polo also did not score in second inning. They had a good hit by Eli Baumann but he failed to get home for any runs. 

The third inning, Oregon scored five runs. Pitcher Blake did get two strikeouts in the inning. 

Blake started out the third inning with a single. Allen walked and Scott tripled with a strong swing of the bat to bring in two runs. 

Daniel Engel walked, and Hicks singled bringing in another run. Teburden Miller, Baumann and Dominguez walked to bring in the last two runs to get five runs and the win by one over Oregon. 

The final score was Polo 10, Oregon 9.
