Roger Eugene Schultz, 77, Tempe, Ariz., died Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Roger was born on Oct. 12, 1936 in Adeline to Elmer and Violet (Motter) Schultz.
He raised hogs for the local 4-H.
He married the love of his life, Jeanne (Reichenbach) Schultz on June 18, 1955.
They raised four daughters and then set out on a new adventure.
They left the cold behind and moved to Arizona. They managed mobile home parks and made many happy memories and cherished friends along the way.
Roger was instrumental in organizing a luncheon each year to honor the local firefighters and paramedics and provide them with a small donation on behalf of the park residents for the services they provide.
He is survived by four daughters, Barbara Creger, Rockford, Catherine Madison, Peoria, Ariz., Cynthia (Ric) Feldman, Rockford, and Deborah (Doug) Dreger, Rockford; eight grandchildren, Sarah Barnes, Shari Olson, David Hendrickson, Justin Olson, Erin Dreger, Emily Madison, Adam Dreger and Alyssa Madison; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Roger is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Violet (Motter) Schultz; his brother; Wayne Schultz; and his wife of 46 years, Jeanne.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Sunday, July 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Contempo Tempe Mobile Home Park, 2609 W. Southern Ave., Tempe, Ariz., where Roger served as manager for many years.
An additional Celebration of Life will also be held on Sunday, July 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 8141 Huber Rd., Belvidere,Ill.
Contributions in Roger’s memory may be made to Fire Station #2, 3025 S. Hardy Dr. Tempe, AZ 85282 in lieu of flowers.
