Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn reports the following activity.

April 8

Siara I. Rhodes, 20, Rochelle, was arrested for failure to appear. Rhodes’ bond was set at $646 pending an April 9 court appearance.

Ryan Boone, 28, Rockford, was arrested in Winnebago County on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Boone was released on a $1,000 recognizance Bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 19.

April 9

Josh Bushland, 20, Earlville, was arrested for failure to appear and petition to revoke. Bushland’s bond was set at  $776.00 on the failure to appear charge and $25,000 (10%) for the petition to revoke. Bushland was scheduled to appear in court on April 10.

Allyssa Rains, 24, Rochelle, was arrested for failure to appear. She posted $136 cash bond and has no further court appearances.

Jeanna Benoit, 39, Rockford, was arrested for failure to appear. She appeared in court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 19.

At 3:57 p.m., deputies arrested Chet L. Harrolle, 31, Oregon in the 400 block of E. Washington Street, Oregon, on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear for on an aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol charge.

Harrolle was also arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis—less than 2.5 grams and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harrolle was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held I lieu of bond.

At 6:56 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic problem in the 100 block of Dayflower Circle in Davis Junction.

Upon completing an investigation into the incident, Holly M. Merson, 34, Davis Junction, was arrested for domestic battery, aggravated assault, and reckless driving.

She also had an outstanding Whiteside County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. Merson was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held pending an appearance before a judge.

April 10

At 10:25 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Railroad Avenue in Chana. As a result of the disturbance, Steven Pumfrey, 54 Chana, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Pumfrey was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

At 10:19 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic battery call in the 7000 block of N. Kilbuck Road in Monroe Center.

After an investigation, Lenard H. Huhn III, 31, Monroe Center, was arrested for domestic battery. Huhn was transported to the Ogle County Jail pending a court appearance.

Brandi Farve, 20, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant for retail theft. Farve posted 10% of a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 2.

Matthew Curly, 34, Freeport, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court. Curly’s bond was set at $2,577 pending a court appearance.

April 11

At 4:47 p.m., deputies responded to I-39 mile marker 104 northbound for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.

It was determined that a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by Leslie Zepeda, 35, Rochelle, was northbound when she rear ended a 2007 Jeep driven by Mark Detwiler, 42, Woodstock, causing the Jeep to roll over one time.

Zepeda and her three minor children were transported to Rochelle Hospital with minor injuries. Leslie Zepeda was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Deputies were assisted by Lynn-Scott-Rock, Stillman and Rochelle Fire Depts. and the Illinois State Police. The accident remains under investigation. 

Brandon Groth, 28, Rockford, was arrested on a warrant for burglary. His bond was set at $50,000. Groth remained in the Ogle County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 23.

Brian D. Bolt, 25, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrants for residential burglary, burglary, and petition to revoke. His bonds were set at $50,000, $20,000, and $10,000. Bolt remained in the Ogle County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.

Brandon Xayasith, 29, Rockford, was arrested on a warrant for possession of cannabis—10-30 grams. He posted 10% of a $2,000 bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 12.

Michael Maise, 23, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. His bond was set at $3,263. He remained in the Ogle County Jail pending an April 14 court appearance.

April 12

A at approximately 6:19 p.m., deputies performed a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of N. Ill. 2.

After an investigation, deputies arrested Roy Wade Jr., 21, Fitchburg, Wis., for driving while license suspended and possession of cannabis—more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams.

Wade was also issued a citation for operating a vehicle when the registration is Suspended. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Stephanie Risley, 27, Rockford, was arrested on a warrant for no insurance. His bond was set at $2,000. Risley was also being held at the Ogle County Jail on a Lee County Warrant which had a bond of $5,000. He was scheduled to appear in court on April 14.

At 2:36 a.m., deputies stopped Kevin Barry, 29, Byron, in the 8000 block of N. Ill. 251 for failure to dim his headlights. 

After a short investigation, Barry was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

He also received a citation for failure to dim headlights.   

April 13

At 11:05 a.m., deputies responded to 18,202 E. Ill. 38 in reference to a domestic. After an investigation, Melvin Bell, 19, Rochelle, was arrested for domestic  battery. Bell was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is being held in lieu of bond.

April 14

Melvin Reyes Amaya, 24, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Amaya posted $501 bond and has no further court appearances.

Michael Clark, 23, Bunker Hill, was arrested on a warrant for domestic battery. Clark posted 10% of a $5,000 bond and was given a return court date.

Sharunda Adams, 24, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant for possession of cannabis. Adams appeared in court, was given a $1,000 recognizance bond, and will appear in court at a later date.

Jean Bogan, 33, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant for a motion to increase bond. Bogan’s bond was set at $250,000 and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
