Ogle County Sheriff's Report

Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn reports the following activity.

Feb. 4

Sherman Johnson, 31, Calumet Park, was arrested on two Ogle County warrants for being unlicensed. Bonds were set at $2,000 and $3,000 pending a court appearance.

Debra Yarbrough, 45, Dixon, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Yarbrough’s bond was set at $1751 pending a court date.

At 5:48 p.m., deputies were advised of a vehicle in the ditch in the 1000 block of E. Ill. 64. Pursuant to an investigation, the driver, Michelle L. Rubio, was taken into custody for driving while license suspended. Rubio was additionally cited for driving too fast for conditions, operation when registration suspended for non-insurance, and expired registration. She was released on an I-Bond at the scene.

Feb. 5

Damien Campbell, 23, Byron, was arrested when he turned himself in to the Ogle County Jail on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. He was unable to post the $781 full cash bond and appeared in court Feb. 5. Campbell’s bond was reduced to $175 full cash which he posted and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24.

Allison Rossberg, 28, Rockford, was arrested at the Winnebago County Jail and transported to the Ogle County Jail on an outstanding warrant for criminal trespass to vehicle.

She was unable to post the $3,000.00 (10%) bond and appeared in court Feb. 5 where she was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. She was scheduled to appear in again on Feb. 10.

Feb. 6

At 10:16 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 3747 W. Ill. 64, lot 104. Following an investigation, Cody Mon, 23, Mt. Morris, was arrested for domestic battery. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail and was later released on a $2,000 (10%) bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.

Sherry A. Sherwood, 52, Davis Junction, was arrested for aiding a fugitive. Sherwood was released on a recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.

Rebecca L. Dufoe, 41, Rockford, was arrested on a petition to revoke  ($10,000, 10% bond) and failure to appear ($2,262 full cash bond) on original charges of theft. Dufoe was held in the Ogle County Jail pending a Feb. 7 court appearance.

Erika A. Allen, 23, Rockford, was arrested for theft. Allen’s bond was set at $10,000 pending a Feb. 7 court date.

Feb. 7

Jake Belter, 21, Stillman Valley, was arrested for on a motion to increase or alter bond. Belter’s bond was set at $15,000 pending a Feb. 10 court date.

Paul Macdonald, 38, Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Macdonald’s did not post $380 full cash for bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24.

William Cupp Jr., 51, Holcomb, was arrested on warrant for driving on suspended license and manufacture/deliver cannabis, between 30 to 500 grams. Cupp appeared in court and was released on a $3,000 recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24.

Feb. 8

At 6:31 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic problem in the 9000 block of Lemke Drive in Byron. After an investigation, Jacob Salstrand, 27, Rockford, was arrested for criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a residence. Salstrand was transported to Ogle County jail where he posted bond and was given a return court date.

Feb. 9

At approximately 3 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of First Street in Leaf River.

After an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Bonnie A. Sherman, 27, Leaf River, had a suspended driver’s license. Sherman was issued a citation for driving while license suspended and was given a $1,500 I-Bond. Sherman is due to appear in Ogle County in March.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6,000 block of W. Ill. 72 for speeding. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Erich M. Huber, 32, Stillman Valley, had a suspended driver’s license. Huber was taken into custody and transported to the Ogle County Jail for processing.

Huber received citations for speeding and driving while license suspended. Sherman is due to appear in Ogle County in March.

Feb. 11

Edward S. Spratt, 51, Lindenwood, was arrested for the unlawful delivery of cannabis, a Class 4 felony. The arrest came after a lengthy investigation that began in 2013. Spratt is being held at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

At approximately 3:02 a.m., deputies were checking a vehicle in the 2,000 block of S. Ill. 2. After an investigation, Carl Pomazal, 31, Dixon, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis - less than 2.5 grams. Pomazal was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
