Craig D. Brinkman

Craig D. “Beaner” Brinkman, 52, Rockford, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 in his home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1961 in Freeport, the son of Lloyd and Irene ( Rauch) Brinkman.

He married Linda Bornemeier on Aug. 22, 1986 in Freeport.

Craig enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr.

He loved hanging out in his “man cave,” tinkering on lawn mowers and keeping his vehicles in pristine condition.

Family and friends meant the world to him.

Craig worked for thirty years at Rogers Ready Mix and Materials. Prior to that, he worked at Kenny Sheely Aggregates.

Surviving are his wife, Linda, Rockford; two sons, Richard (Jeanette) Bradt, Jr., Freeport, and Anthony (Denise) Bradt, Beloit, Wis.; his grandchildren, Kayla, Matthew, Tony, Kyle, Cody and Branden; his great-grandchildren, Bentley and Brailey; also six sisters-in law and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, William; parents-in-law, Henry and Gertie Bornemeier; and his four-legged friend, Maicee.

Everyone will miss his laughter and wit.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, 504 N. Walnut Ave. Freeport.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 29 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. A memorial has been established in his name.
