Howlin' good time at Wiggly Field Dog Park for canine costume contest

The Oregon Park District's Wiggly Field Dog Park was the site of the second annual Howl'oween costume contest Monday night.

Judges had a difficult time picking winners at this year's event, but here are the category winners.

Best Handmade Costume

1st place: Bear and owner Trevor Tighe as a tiger and a tiger trainer

2nd place: Little Bear and owner Shay Banister as Sherlock Holmes and Watson

3rd place Josie as Little Red Riding Hood, owner Lori Spratt.

Best Store Bought Costume

1st place; Sandy and owner Issac Brooks as a bee and beekeeper

2nd place: Boomer and owner Chas Moorehead as Ghostbuster and slime

3rd place: Bailey and Karen Churney as butterlfies

Best Group

1st place: Foxy and Bella with owner Ragan Arbogast as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf

2nd place: Tank and Diezel with owner Sue Harrod as bunnies

3rd place: Molly with owner Camery Peterson as Raggedy Ann

Pet Gift Basket winner: Sue Harrod with Tank and Diezel

Tail Wag Winner: Sandy with owner Issac Brooks
