Ruby N. Deitzman

Ruby N. Deitzman, 89, Kingston, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.

She was born Jan. 28, 1924 in Oregon, the daughter of Riley and Blanche (Brockett) Cox.  

She married Allen Deitzman in 1939 in Clinton, Iowa.

Ruby was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church and the Kingston Friendship Center.

She worked as a U.S. Postal Clerk at the Kingston post office for more than 30 years.

Survivors include one son, Chuck (Sandy) Deitzman, Davis Junction; one daughter, Pat (Jerry) Pinkston, Lead Hill, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1979; one daughter, Sharon Maxwell; and one great-grandson.

Her funeral service was held Sept. 9 at the Kingston United Methodist Church, 115 W. First St., Kingston, with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating. 

Burial was at the Kingston Cemetery.
