Tobie M. Grover

Tobie M. Grover, 63, Edwardsville, was called to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at his home.  

Tobie retired in 2009 after 32 years of dedicated service at Ameren in Maryville.  

He was born on July 6, 1950 in Chana, the son of the late Roe and Doris (Miller) Grover and step-son of the late Lee Stevens, Oregon.  

Tobie  married Alison A. Snyder on June 13, 1992  in Sun City, Fla.  

Other survivors include three sons, Todd Grover and his wife Louise, Louisville, Ky., Bradd Grover and his fiancée Lisa Cundall, Collinsville, and Barrett Miller, Hartford; a daughter, Natalie Romano and husband Anthony,Milwaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren, Colbey Grover, Waukegan, Lillian Grover, Collinsville, and Lance and Logan Tobias Romano, Milwaukee, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Brooklyn Grover, Waukegan; two brothers, Phillip Grover and his wife Karen, Rockford, and  Brian Grover and his wife Cathie, Chana; and a sister, Susan Hager and her husband Chris, Rochelle.  

Tobie was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as president of the Trinity School Board, Edwardsville.

He was also a member of the Goshen Rotary Club, and volunteered at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice, Edwardsville.  

Funeral services were held Aug. 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Shank officiating.  

According to his wishes Tobie will be cremated following services and an interment at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates will be held at a later date.  

The family requests memorials to be given to Trinity Lutheran School.
