Margaret A. Henricks

Margaret A. Henricks, 92, died Friday, June 21, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was born Jan. 4, 1921 in Wabash, Ind., the daughter of Leroy and Ruth Jackson.

Margaret graduated from Larwill, Ind., High School in 1939 and from Manchester College, North Manchester, Ind., in 1943.

She married Dale Henricks on Feb. 6, 1944.

She maintained a strong interest in elementary education, teaching more than 25 years in Mt. Morris and volunteering for 12 years after moving to San Diego, Calif.

She was very active in the church, including choir, choir support activities, and especially in the church thrift shop.

Her cheerful, helpful attitude gained her many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Dale; sons, John, Colorado Springs, Colo., Robert (Janis), St. Louis, Mo., and James, Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Vicky (Jeff) Stoner, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Eric (Mely) Henricks, Redondo Beach, Calif, Joshua Henricks, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Rachel (Rob) Embery, Colorado Springs, Colo.,Jay (Kery) Stoner, Baltimore, Md.; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial Servcie was held July 12 at First Methodist Church, Colorado Springs, Colo., with internment later at Plainview Cementery, Mt. Morris.
