Ardis J. Dummer

Ardis J. Dummer, 82, lifelong Oregon resident, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at Oregon Living and Rehabilitation Center, Oregon.

She was born Jan. 16, 1931 in Oak Grove, Wis., the daughter of Bernard and Borghild (Gaare) Pederson.

She married Charles Dummer June 24, 1948 in Davis Junction; he died Jan. 21, 1989.

Ardis attended Oregon Schools and worked at National Lock in Rockford in her earlier years. She was a member of Oregon United Methodist Church, its Naomi Circle, United Women of the church and University of Illinois Home Extension. Ardis loved traveling, camping, bingo and crafts.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Vicki) Dummer, Oregon; brothers, LeRoy Pederson, Byron, and Keith Pederson, Oregon; sister, Marilyn Deming, Byron; grandchildren, Clyde (Tina) and Arlene (Steve); great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her parents; daughter, Kristine Vaughn; grandsons, James and Tom; sister, Shirley; and brothers, Larry Dale and DeWayne. Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon, with Pastor Bob Clardie of Lost Lake Community Church officiating. Burial was in Daysville Cemetery.
