There’s nothing better than a warm homemade breakfast on a Sunday morning unless of course when someone else fixes it.
Oregon Trail Days committee members are pleased to announce that they have partnered with the Lorado Taft Field Campus to provide a buffet breakfast on July 21 during the 4th Annual Oregon Trail Days Festival.
The breakfast will be held in the Dining Hall of the Lorado Taft Field Campus. The menu will include homemade cinnamon rolls as well as eggs, potatoes, meat, beverages and more. The breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are on sale now for a discounted price of $13 per person. Tickets at the gate will be $16. All tickets include the breakfast and entry to the festival which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on that Sunday.
Shuttle service from the festival parking lot to the Lorado Taft Field Campus will be provided free of charge. All visitors should park in the festival parking lot located on Daysville Road. Just follow the signs.
“The Field Campus is not usually open to the public and this is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to get an up close look at the buildings and grounds that were part of the Eagles Nest Art Colony back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s” said Amy Trimble, festival manager. “We are just so happy that the Campus has joined us for the Festival this year, not only will there be breakfast but tours will be available both Saturday and Sunday and there will be a quilt show, Pioneer Games for the kids and a Pioneer Gathering at the Log Cabin.
“The staff for the Campus has really jumped in with both feet and are doing an amazing job at helping us make the 2013 Festival a huge success,” said Trimble.
Tickets are on sale at the Oregon Chamber of Commerce in the Coliseum on Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Merlin’s Greenhouse: Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
