Cynthia Dawn Logan, 57, Franklin Grove, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2013, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.  

She loved and served her family as a supporting wife, stay-at-home mom, and home school teacher.

Cynthia was born Oct. 1, 1955, in Berwick, Pa., the daughter of Roy A. and Iris E. (Souder) Peters.  

She married Robert E. Logan on February 15, 1986, in Lewisburg, Pa.  

Cynthia was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Oregon and served on numerous church committees.  

She was mentor, friend, and Christian example to many ladies both in the church and in the community.   She enjoyed making cards and gifts both to encourage others and to sell.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert E. “Bob” Logan, Franklin Grove; daughters, Rachel and Ruth, Whitewater, Wis., daughter, Rebekah and son, Rob, Franklin Grove; one brother, Dennis R. (Jean) Peters, Berwick, Pa.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were Monday, June 10 at First Baptist Church of Oregon, 505 Hill St., Oregon, with Pastor Jerry Clark, officiating.  

Burial was at Franklin Grove Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the First Baptist Church.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
