Mix It Up, the fourth annual sidewalk painting event, will be held on Saturday, June 22 at Mix Park in Oregon.

Participants of all ages are invited to spend the day painting and enjoying the outdoors. Painting begins at 10 a.m.

The $20 registration fee includes 5 pints of washable tempera paint (white, black, red, yellow, and blue) and 2 paint brushes to paint the 5 x 5 sidewalk block.

Registration forms are available at Nash Recreation Center, Oregon, or may be downloaded from the Fields Project/Mix It Up website at: fieldsproject.com/mix.html

Groups wishing to paint the same block can pay $20. Each person in the group should fill out a form. Clip the forms together with the $20 registration fee and mail to: Fields Project/Mix It Up, P.O. Box 444, Oregon, IL 61061 or drop off at Nash Recreation Center.

Event day registration is available, while supplies last.

Event t-shirts, designed by Oregon High School student Megan Boehle, can be ordered for $15. The shirts are blue and feature a tree, with the words Mix It Up in a bright rainbow of colors.

T-shirt sales fund a scholarship for an Ogle County high school senior pursuing a career in art or agriculture.

Participants should bring a palette (muffin tin or dinner plate for mixing colors), additional brushes, water container (for rinsing brushes), and rags (for wiping off brushes).

Food and drink will be available. Ralphie & Lulu’s of Ashton will be selling pork chop sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, desserts, iced tea and lemonade.

Proceeds from food sales will go to the scholarship fund.
