Deborah K. Stienmetz

Deborah Kay Stienmetz, 58, Oregon, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at her home. 

She was born in Stanley, Wis., on March 31, 1954, the daughter of Victor and Helen (Guyette) Drozd. 

Deborah married Ted E. Stienmetz on May 2, 1980. 

She was active in the community by being a Girl Scout leader, softball coach, and a Pampered Chef representative. 

She also enjoyed volunteering for Autumn on Parade, the park district, Habitat for Humanity, Oregon Ambulance Service, and working with CPR and first aid at Nash. 

In her spare time she enjoyed making baskets, doing jigsaw puzzles, and baking cakes. 

Deborah always had a warm smile and a positive attitude that never gave up. 

Her door was always open and there would be cookies on top of the fridge. 

She is survived by her husband, Ted, Oregon; children, Rick (Marcie) Nielsen, Rockford, Nikki Steinmetz, Oregon, and Jeremy Stienmetz, Oregon; five grandchildren, Jared Lamb, Matthew, Christopher, Nathan, and Andrew Nielsen; siblings, Dan (Kathy) Drozd, Oregon, and Diana (Ray) Lewis, Oregon. 

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 5 at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, Oregon, with Rev. Candy Morris officiating. 

Burial was in Lighthouse Cemetery. 

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
