Robert Charles Wright, 86, Oregon, died at 11:57 p.m. on Thursday, February, 21, 2013 at Oregon Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.  

He was born Oct. 11, 1926 to Carroll and Belle (Lewis) Wright.  

He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in the Class of 1944, and he attended college in Ames, Iowa. 

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway when it was commissioned.  

Charles married Donna Knight on June 27, 1953 in Ohio, Ill.  

He was employed as a roto pressman for 40-plus years.  

His memberships included Masonic Blue Lodge for 55-plus years and a life member of the VFW.  

He is survived by his wife, Donna Wright, Oregon; son, William C. (Wendy) Wright, Oregon; daughter: Cristi C. (Randy) Pals, German Valley; three grandchildren, Ken (Alicia) Pals German Valley, Caleb Wright, Cuba City, Wis., and Emylyn Wright, Oregon; two great-granddaughters, Cara and Shannon Pals, German Valley; and a brother: David (Barbara) Wright, Freeport.  

He was predeceased by parents; a sister, Martha Mongan; and a brother, Bruce Wright.  

A private family service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris.

Arrangements were completed by Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt St., Mt. Morris. 

A memorial will be established.
