One hurt in wreck

A 19-year-old Oregon man was seriously injured late Tuesday afternoon when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving struck a tree.

Devin Todd, 19, Oregon, was airlifted by Lifeline helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital following the 4:20 p.m. accident. His condition was unavailable Tuesday night.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff's Department, Todd was traveling eastbound in the south ditch in the 500 block of Half Mile Road, about 200 yards east of River Road, when he lost control of the ATV due to ice in the ditch and struck the tree.
