Ronald A. Burwitz, 71, Baileyville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 29, 1941 in Rockford, the son of Carl A. and Dorothy M. (Helsell)  Burwitz. 

He married Connie Munk on April 4, 1970 in Freeport.
Burwitz  was employed by Micro Switch and later Big A Auto Parts.

He attended Baileyville Baptist Church and enjoyed attending flea markets, thrashing shows and John Deere  tractors.

He is survived by his wife; his son, Todd Burwitz, Baileyville; and two brothers, Carl Burwitz, Jr., Chisago, Minn., and Bernard (Annie) Burwitz, Beloit, Wis.; cousins; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Linda, Rosemary and Diane.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at Baileyville Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Cassel, officiating. Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church. 

Burial will be in Cranes Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
