Thomas J. Wiggins

Thomas “Tom” J. Wiggins, 84, Polo, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at KSB Hospital, Dixon.

He was a senior exhibit coordinator for Sundstrand, Rockford, before retiring.

Tom was a member of the Pine Creek Christian Church, Polo, for many years.

He was born Aug. 4,1928, in Peoria, the son of Thomas A. and Josephine M. (McKee) Wiggins.

He married Wanda Sheely on April 15, 1950 in Polo.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda, Polo; sons, Thomas (Susan) Wiggins, Vallejo, Calif., Tim (Brenda) Wiggins, Polo, and Todd (Marta) Wiggins, Polo; sisters Barbra (Walter) Smith, Newport Beach, Calif., and Sarah (Leon) Putnam, Peoria;  17 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sons, Joseph and James “Ted”  Wiggins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Pine Creek Christian Church, 5076 S. Lowell Park Rd., Polo.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Polo, immediately following services.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Pine Creek Christian Church.  Arrangements were completed by Polo Family Funeral Home.
