Ronald M. Pannkuk

Ronald M. Pannkuk, 71, Shannon, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport.

He was born on July 19, 1941 in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the son of Minert and Sadie (Ruter) Pannkuk.

Ronald married Corrine Ryan on Oct. 15, 1966 in Forreston.

Ronald graduated from Shannon High School in 1960.

He farmed in the Shannon area, worked for Cherry Brothers and Green Giant, and also was an LP truck driver for Carroll Service.  
He was a member of North Grove Evangelical Church, rural Forreston.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his pets.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Corrine Pannkuk, Shannon; his son, Kevin (Trisha) Pannkuk, Shannon; three daughters, Karen (Garry) Richards, Freeport,  Suellen Pannkuk, Shannon, and Linda (Ron) Getz, Savanna; his brother, Gene (Katy) Pannkuk, Forreston; his sister, Joyce (Thomas) McPhillips, Stockton; four grandchildren, Jameson Pannkuk, Sarah Richards, and Riley and Lakin Getz; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Justin Richards.

Funeral services were be held  Jan. 19 at North Grove Evangelical Church, rural Forreston, with Rev. Tom McClellan officiating. 
Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.

Arrangements were completed by Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston.
