Oran Z. Spangler

Oran Z. Spangler, 65, Oregon, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

He was born July 4, 1947 in Oregon the son of Charles and Lula Ware Spangler.  
He married Christine Wolf on Aug. 7, 1981 in Mt. Carroll; she died in 2004.

Oran served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 and was a welder in this area for many years.

Survivors include sisters, Elizabeth “Mae” (Ivan) Groth, Merrimac, Wis., and Eva Jean (Richard) Deyster, Oregon; sister-in-law, Joann Spangler, Oregon; step-children, Jack (Linda) Ozminkowski, Gregory (Karen) Bemus, Bill (Cathy) Bemus, James (Laura) Bemus, Sandra Bernier, Jenny (Ian) Evans, and Bobbi Jo (Derrick) Virgil; numerous step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and special fiend, Sharon Wallace.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald, Floyd, and James.

A memorial gathering will be held onStaurday, June 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Oregon Park East, across from where Oran was born and raised.
