Gerald Arbogast

Gerald “Arby” Arbogast, 83, Corinth, MIss., died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.

He was born Aug. 14, 1929, the son of Claude and Viola Arbogast.

Arbogast worked at Kable Printing Company, Mt. Morris, for 28 years before moving to Corinth in February of 1976 to help the start of Hall of Mississippi.

He was quality control for National Geographic until his retirement in 1994.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he loved his family and always loved family reunions in Florida every year.

He enjoyed working in the yard and loved sitting on his porch watching the hummingbirds and squirrels.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris Bickford Arbogast, Corinth, Miss.; son, Edward (Anneal Zamarron) Arbogast, Hewitt, Texa; daughter Sherri (Kenneth Royal) Litano, Cordova, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Arbogast, Marshfield, Mo., Christopher Litano, Cordova, Tenn.; and niece, Lisa DesCamps, Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Viola Arbogast and sister, Elaine DesCamps.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 27, 2012 at McPeters Funeral Home, Corinth, Miss., with Brother Josh Hite officiating. He was interred in the Corinth National Cemetery.
