Three arrested during drug raid

Two Rochelle residents were arrested on drug charges Oct. 25 after police executed a search warrant at their residence.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies, Rochelle Police Officers, Ogle County Emergency Response Team and the Rochelle K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at 221 Avenue C.  

After an investigation, David S. Mack, 24, of that address, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver within 1000 feet of a school (Class 2 felony), unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver (Class 3 felony), and unlawful possession of cannabis (Class 4 felony).  

Diane F. Dirickson, 30, of the same address, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver within 1000 feet of a school (Class 2 felony), unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver (Class 3 felony), and unlawful possession of cannabis (Class 4 felony).

The search warrant was the result of an investigation that started after citizen complaints of possible drug dealing at that address.

A third person, Kristan Mack, 22, Chicago was arrested on a Chicago Police Department warrant for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He is a cousin of David Mack. 

All three individuals were taken to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  

During the raid, officers located a large amount of cannabis that was packaged for sale, several digital scales, and drug packaging material.  

The Rochelle Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
