Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Dear Editor,

Wasn't it a wonderful summer of music in Mt. Morris?

The continuation of the Wednesday night concerts and the addition of the Friday night venues.

Congratulations to Larry Ubben and whoever else helped him secure the variety of music for the Friday night concerts.

There was something for everyone.

Hopefully that will continue.

Dear Editor,

The family of Jack Rosquist and Serenity Hospice and Home would like to thank all those who participated in the first annual Jack Rosquist Memorial Golf Playday, held at Lost Nation Golf Club on Sept. 22.

Special thanks to all the hole sponsors and prize donors.

All proceeds will benefit Serenity Hospice and Home patients and their families.

It is only with the continued support of so many in the community that the work of Serenity Hospice and Home is possible.

Club offers thanks

Dear Editor,

The Rock River Valley Rotary Club would like to thank all of those who helped make our 2012 Harvest of Hope event possible again this year.

Over 50 invited guests and Rotarians enjoyed a wonderful evening that included a delightful wine pairing experience, a raffle, live and silent auctions, and the fellowship of great friends.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, contributors, and event participants, almost $4,000 was raised to help support ongoing club service initiatives sponsored by our Rotary Club at the local and global level.

The club would like to thank Saro and Robin Costa, Tony Artale, and Jon and Tracy Eppes for their contibutions to the event.

Finally, the Club thanks all of our raffle andauction item donors, our hard-working volunteers, and most importantly our valued guests – for their timely contributions and support – which will enable us to continue to proactively and positively impact the communities in which we serve.

The Rock River Rotary Club was chartered in July 2008 and meets each Thursday at noon for lunch at Costa’s, Byron.

For more information about Rotary or to secure an invitation to visit our club, visit us on the web at www.rrvrotary.com or contact a Rock River Valley Rotarian today.
