Kathy Ghibellini Davidson

Kathy Ghibellini Davidson, 53, Mt. Morris, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

She was born Jan. 6, 1959 in Rockford, the daughter of James and Angela (Salerno) Ghibellini.

Kathy graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1977.

She worked for the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department in maintenance for 15 years. Kathy married Jeff Davidson on Aug. 11, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nev.

She loved her family, shopping, and being surrounded with many friends.

She enjoyed riding with Jeff on their motorcycle visiting many places.

Her four grandchildren were her life; she loved all the time she spent with them.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jeff Davidson, Mt. Morris; mother, Angela Ghibellini, Mt. Morris; son, Chad (Nicolle) Zellers, Forreston; four grandsons, Paul, Quintin, Cameron, and Landyn Zellers, Forreston; brother, Steven Ghibellini, Oregon; sisters, Jeanne (Dale) Rowland, Mt. Morris, Shari (Aaron) Arnold, Sparta, Wis., Cindy (Randy) Bergmann, Sparta, Wis., and Christy (Bert Rahn) Ghibellini, Mt. Morris.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Ghibellini; daughter, Monica Zellers; cousin, John Ghibellini; and grandmother, Pauline Ghibellini.

Memorial service will be Friday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt St., Mt. Morris.

Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, rural Mt. Morris. 

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. until service time at Finch Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials to be determined.

Kathy had a huge heart and always loved to help and be with many people.
