Ada E. Stone

Ada E. Stone, 102,  Polo, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Polo Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She owned the restaurant Cozy Cafe in Polo for many years.

Ada was born Oct. 30, 1909 in Sterling, the daughter of James Orville and Elizabeth L. (Steinhagen) Paschal.

She married James W. Stone on Feb. 13, 1932 in Mt. Carroll. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1985.

Ada was a long time member of the Church of the Open Bible, Polo.

Survivors include her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by eight sisters and five brothers.

A graveside service will be Thursday, Oct. 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Polo Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established Polo Church of the Open Bible.
