Irene Borneman

Irene Borneman, 96, Leaf River, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford.

Irene was born June 15, 1916 in Green Castle, Pa., the daughter of Russell and Cora (Drury) Dietrich.

She married Glen Borneman on Oct. 23, 1948 in Cahokia, Mo.

She worked as a CNA for Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris.

She loved to shop and go to Rockford with her mother and sister on Thursdays for many years.

Irene loved to get in the car and going for rides and spending time outdoors.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston.

She loved talking about and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Borneman, Leaf River; sons, Ronald (Eleanor) Heidenreich, Rockford, Larry (Dana) Heidenreich, Leaf River, Robert (Karen) Borneman, Leaf River, Bill (Patti) Borneman, Helena, Mont.; grandchildren, Jill (Jude) Torre, Cherry Valley, Kevin Heidenreich, Mt. Morris,  Nick Heidenreich, Leaf River, Andrea (Nick) Weber, Pecatonica, Emily (Spencer) White, Austin, Texas, Megan Borneman, Chicago, Dustin Borneman, Monroe, Wis., Carl Borneman, Helena, Mont.; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Carly Torre, Cherry Valley, Andrew Heidenreich, Pecatonica, Adam and Emmitt Weber, Pecatonica,  Annika Borneman, Helena, Mont.; brothers, John Dietrich, Rockford, Harold (Lois) Dietrich, Byron, Robert (Donna) Dietrich, Leaf River, Jason (Betty) Dietrich, Stillman Valley; and twin sister, Pauline Swanson, Byron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Russell Dietrich; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Dorothy.

Memorial services will be Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, with Rev. Steven Erickson officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. until the service time at St. James Lutheran Church.
Memorials will be established.
