Ardell G. Watry

Ardell G. Watry, 84, Forreston died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Center, Mt. Morris.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1927 in Manitowoc, Wis., the son of Frank and Freda (Hentz) Watry.

He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific Theatre.

He married Barbara Harris on Oct. 9, 1948 in Forreston.

He worked at Kable Printing-Quebecor for more than 45 years retiring as a supervisor.

Ardell enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting and teasing all of his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Watry, Forreston; two sons; Ardell (Urai) Watry Jr., Shannon and David (Pam) Watry, Forreston; three daughters, Linda (Terry) Klipping, Mt. Morris, Wanda (Richard) Stocker, Forreston, Collette (Robert) Vick, Browntown, Wis.; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vickie Weegens; two sisters; one brother; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston, with Rev. William Heck officiating.

Visitation was scheduled from noon until the time of service.

Interment was in White Oak Cemetery.
