Paul P. Kaczmarzyk, 82, Oregon, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 surrounded by his family at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
He lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus.
He would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in him.
His family cherishes the memories of his faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus’ faithful love for him.
He was born May 17, 1930 in Chicago the son of Paul and Jean (Hojnacki) Kaczmarzyk. He married Nancy Swita Dec. 30, 1952 in St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee, Wis.
He was a 1948 graduate of Mosinee (Wis.) High School and lived in Oregon since 1968, moving from Green Bay, Wis.
Paul had been employed at Badger Breeders in Shawano, Wis., Patz Equipment in Pounz, Wis., Country Company Insurance, The White-Kaczmarzyk Agency in Oregon and, lastly, The Kaczmarzyk Agency in Oregon from 1981 to present.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Oregon for 47 years, Knights of Columbus Council #1092 and 4th Degree Assembly #1702 and officiated the KC’s Halloween Costume Contest the past 26 years.
Family was foremost: he was a dedicated spouse, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was an avid Packer fan and loved telling stories and jokes, hunting, camping, boating, snowmobiling, water skiing, and polka dancing.
Paul was Polish and proud. Thumbs up!
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, Oregon; son, Randy (Tonya) Kaczmarzyk, Davis Junction; daughters, Sandra (Stephen) Janssen, Mt. Morris, Shelley (Scott) Rhea, Oregon and Kelley (Sean) Snyder, Grand Detour; grandchildren, Stacy (Skooter) Barber, Tracy Janssen, Chelsy Janssen (fiancé Thomas Jones), Kelsy Janssen, Katarina and Zachary Kaczmarzyk, Sommer Rhea and Dax Snyder; great-grandchildren, Kazmyn “Kaz” and Zadie Barber; and brothers, Raymond (Jeanine) Kaczmarzyk, Weston, Wis. and Leonard (Marie) Kaczmarzyk, Hortonville, Wis.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Christian Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, with Father Joseph Naill, pastor, as celebrant assisted by Father William Budden and Father Richard Kramer, former pastors.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
