Ogle County Sheriff Arrests

Ogle County Sheriff Greg Beitel reports the following arrests.

Alan Copeland, 48, Oregon, was arrested Feb. 17 on a failure to appear warrant. Copeland's bond was set at $283.

On Feb. 18, at 7:02 p.m., deputies responded to 106 North Grove Road in Creston, in reference to a domestic dispute.  After an investigation, deputies arrested Leann Swinton, 40, Creston, for domestic battery. Swinton was taken to Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

On Feb. 18, at 5:52 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Prairie St. in Creston.  Pursuant to an investigation, Roman S. Arguellez, 41, Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license suspended

Rodolfo Lopez, 51, Dekalb, was arrested Feb. 18 on a failure to appear warrant. Lopez posted $257 bond and was released with no further court appearance required.

Amanda K. Swanson, 28, Freeport, was arrested Feb. 18 for driving while license suspended. Swanson posted $115 and was released. Swanson is scheduled to appear in court on March 12.

Eli Rothermel, 21, Mt. Morris, was arrested Feb. 21 on a contempt of court warrant. Rothermel's bond was set at $1,906.

Megan Tielkemeier, 24, Freeport, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. She posted bond and was released.

Hugo Solis, 26, Belvidere, was arrested Feb. 22 at 8:30 p.m. for driving while license suspended. He was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of N. Ill. 251.

On Feb. 22, at 10:35 p.m., deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle located inside Skare Park. Pursuant to an investigation, Jeffrey G. Lance, 20, Dixon, was arrested for violation of the drug paraphernalia act and violation of the cannabis control act.

Sonia Clark, 44, Princeton, was arrested Feb. 22 on a contempt warrant. Clark posted $703.91 bond and was released with no further court appearance required.

Andres Castellanos, 27, Rochelle, was arrested Feb. 22 for driving while license suspended. He was arrested following a traffic stop in the 14,000 block of E. Ill. 38.

Dennis Willstead, 37, Oregon, was arrested Feb. 22 on a domestic battery warrant. Willstead was released on $1,000 recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.

Rocke Schoepfer Jr., 30 of Davis Junction, was arrested Feb. 23 on an outstanding warrant. Schoepfer's bond was set at $3,000.

Accident

On Feb. 23, at 6:01 a.m., deputies and the Byron Fire Department responded to a report of a car in the Rock River just North of Rock River Terrace between Byron and Oregon.  A car driven by Jacob O. Woodruff, 20, Byron, was southbound on River Road and lost control. The car went over a raised river bank, and partially into the water. The driver was not injured, and the car did not receive severe damage.
