Oregon Police Activity

Oregon Police Chief Darin DeHaan reports the following activity for Sept. 28 through Oct. 4.

Sept. 29

At approximately 12:35 p.m., police were advised of a gas drive-off from the Shell gas station in the 200 block of N. Fourth Street in Oregon. The Oregon Police apprehended the offending vehicle, resulting in the arrest of Cameron G. Chattic, 19, Sterling, for theft of services. Chattic was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 5:11 p.m., police investigated a hit and run traffic crash that occurred while a 1999 Ford pickup truck belonging to Alan D. Nordman, Leaf River, was legally parked in the 300 block of N. Fifth Street. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Oregon Police Department at 815-732-2162.

At 8 p.m., police arrested Clara M. Perkio, 38, Polo, on an outstanding Lee County warrant. Perkio was transported to the Ogle County jail.

Sept. 30

At 4:50 p.m., police investigated a one-vehicle traffic crash that involved a 2000 Honda motorcycle driven by Cory E. Sarver, 34, Oregon. No citations were issued.

Oct. 1

At 4:40 p.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Franklin and Fourth Streets involving a 2009 Toyota driven by Ronald M. Deters, 45, Sullivan,, and a 2007 Hyundai driven by Robin A. Minnis, 54, Oregon. No citations were issued.

Oct. 2

At 8:15 p.m., police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 300 block of S. Seventh Street that involved a 1999 Ford driven by Tyler A. Hummell, 18, Oregon, and a parked vehicle belonging to Howard Becker, Oregon. No citations were issued.

Oct. 3

At 6 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Fourth and Washington Street involving a 1997 Pontiac driven by Joann Wesolowski, 64, Mt. Morris, and a 2005 GMC driven by Todd J. Bauer, 51, Oregon. No citations were issued.

Oct. 4

At 10:25 a.m., police investigated a hit and run traffic crash that occurred while a 2001 Ford Focus belonging to Natalie Husemann, Oregon, was parked in the Shell gas station parking lot, and was struck by an unknown vehicle within the previous 50 minutes, causing damage to the right front of Husemann’s vehicle. Three warnings were issued for the week of Sept. 28 through Oct. 4.
